KU Lighthouse launches a new educators’ network
KU Lighthouse is taking a step to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship in teaching with the launch of a new network for educators. The network aims to bring together lecturers and researchers from across the University of Copenhagen and foster a stronger academic community around innovation in education.
The network will serve as a platform for knowledge sharing and peer exchange, where participants can share concrete methods, tools, and experiences for integrating innovation and entrepreneurship into their courses. It will also support the development of new learning formats and strengthen collaboration across disciplines and departments.
The initiative is part of KU Lighthouse’s broader strategic effort to make innovation an integral part of both education and research culture. The goal is to enhance educators’ competencies and equip students to engage with complex societal challenges.
With the launch of the network, the University of Copenhagen is placing renewed focus on connecting research, teaching, and innovation — and on creating engaging learning environments where students actively work with real-world problems.
Invitation: Join the kick-off event
The network will officially launch with a kick-off event, where educators and researchers with an interest in innovation in teaching are invited to join.
The programme includes short presentations with concrete examples from colleagues’ teaching practices:
- Stig Jensen, Centre for African Studies
- Natalie Marie Gulsrud, Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management
There will be plenty of time for dialogue, exchange of experiences, and networking across disciplines, and the event will conclude in an informal setting with a glass of bubbles.
The event is open to educators at the University of Copenhagen who are already working with or are curious about how innovation can strengthen teaching and enhance student engagement and innovation competencies.
Registration is now open, and all interested educators are welcome:
